V.I.P memiliki kepanjangan Very Important Person yang berarti fans sangat berarti bagi BIGBANG.
V.I.P merupakan fanclub resmi BIGBANG yang secara resmi diumumkan tidak lama setelah Big Bang merilis album EP kedua, “Big Bang Is VIP” pada tahun 2006. Dalam album tersebut juga terdapat lagu dan judul yang menampilkan pentingnya fans untuk Bigbang (VIP dan La la la).
Sebelum ada Crownstick, fans bigbang memberi dukungan memakai saputangan warna item putih tiap mereka perform.

Big Bang adalah boy band dari Korea Selatan. Kelompok ini terdiri 5 personel, masing-masing mempunyai bagian suara berbeda atau rapping. Mereka dianggap sebagai anggota wajah yang baru dari “Keluarga YG” di bawah asuhan YG Entertainment.

Bigbang merupakan salah satu dari boyband paling sukses di Asia yang di juluki "Revolutionary Group of Hallyu Wave" dan "South Korea's Most Wanted" Karena keunikan-original musik dan gaya fashion mereka jika dibandingkan dengan boyband atau girlband lainnya. Mereka juga telah menjadi pemimpin "Hallyu wave" karena popularitas mereka, kesuksesan dan membawa pengaruh di seluruh dunia.
Sejak mereka debut 19 Agustus 2006, Bigbang telah merilis beberapa single sukses, mini album dan full album. Walaupun album pertama mereka,BigBang Vol. 1, tidak mendapat respon penuh dari masyarakat umum karena genre yang mereka ambil Hip Hop dan R&B, walau demikian mereka berhasil meraih kesuksesesan besar dengan mini album mereka, Always, rilis pada 2007, hampir satahun setelah mereka debut. Mini album ini meraih peringkat pertama dengan single "Lies", yang tinggal di tempat teratas di berbagai tangga musik selama tujuh minggu berturut-turut. Sejak ketenaran Seo Taiji and Boys, Bigbang merupakan rookie pertama yang ditempatkan sebagai no. 1 untuk jangka waktu selama sebulan. Di tahun yang sama bigbang menerima "Best Male Group" dan "Song of the Year" awards untuk Lies pada tahun 2007 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Mini album selanjutnya Hot Issue dan Stand Up, juga memiliki kesuksesan yang sama, Menempati peringkat No. 1 Haru Haru dan Last Farewell. Setelah itu mereka mendapat penghargaan "Artist of the Year" pada tahun 2008 Mnet Asian Music Awards dan "Seoul Gayo Daesang" pada Seoul Music Awards 2008, Bigbang memperluas popularitas mereka di Jepang dengan merilis beberapa mini album dan singles, tetapi mereka tidak melakukan promosi besar-besaran sampai mereka merilis single jepang mereka My Heaven. Sejak itulah, grup ini mencapai kesuksesan besar dan popularitas di dunia. Mereka juga menjadi Grup asing pertama yang meraih penghargaan "Best Newcomer" dari Japan Cable Broadcasting Station.
Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir Bigbang juga melakukan aktivitas solo, Taeyang dan G-dragon telah merilis full album mereka, dan sisanya mulai mengadu akting mereka di drama, film, drama musikal dan ikut berpartisipasi di berbagai variety programs.

Setelah 2 tahun absen, mereka kembali dengan mini album Tonight, berhasil mewakili khawasan Asia-Pacific dan berhasil sebagai pemenang perdana "Best Worldwide Act" pada 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards yang diselenggarakan di Belfast, Northern Ireland. Di sana selain Queen, Bigbang merupakan pemenang yang bukan berasal dari Amerika utara dan musisi pertama yang mendapatkan penghargaan ini.
